Hand Therapy services will attract a separate fee as an independant service and may be claimable through private health insurance.

Hand Therapy is the specific rehabilitation of the upper limb and is provided by either an Occupational Therapist or a Physiotherapist with further training and clinical experience in the field. It involves evaluation and assessment of the condition and the formation of a specific treatment program.  A variety of specialised treatment techniques are used to achieve the best outcome.

You may be referred to Hand Therapy following a hand surgery appointment or after surgical intervention. The Hand Therapists also receive referrals directly from external sources
such as GP’s or other practitioners.
